- Lyons Lift Supervisor
Lyons Lift is Mount Holyoke’s on-campus accessible transportation service for students, faculty and staff with temporary or permanent disabilities affecting their mobility.
For short-term mobility limitations, students must be seen by Health Services. For long-term access to the service, students should meet with and provide appropriate documentation to Disability Services. Employees should obtain approval from Human Resources. Approved students are welcome to use this service to get around campus for academic and personal needs (meals, events, etc.). We want to ensure all students are able to get to their classes on time, so please be mindful of peak class change times and limit requests to essential rides only during that time.
Please note: only individuals who have been given the accommodation through Health Services, Disability Services, or Human Resources are permitted to use this service.
Approved passengers may request rides using our Google booking page. Access to the page will be provided when you are approved for the service. For any questions about booking access, please email Lyons-Lift@mtholyoke.edu.
Rides are scheduled in 10 minute increments. The van will be there at the scheduled time, so you are expected to be outside at that time as well. If you’d prefer to wait inside, be sure you’re near your building’s exit so you can come out once the van pulls up. If you do not see your van within 2 minutes of your scheduled time, please call your driver at (413) 560-0780. If you can't get ahold of them, contact Public Safety Dispatch at (413) 538-2304 for further assistance.
You may request rides up to 3 days in advance. Please note: appointment slots will disappear one hour before that time. We encourage you to schedule your rides in advance, however, if you need a ride within the hour, please contact (413) 560-0780 via call or text to schedule.
We cannot guarantee the time you need will be available, but we will do our best to accommodate as close as possible. If the time you want is unavailable, please select the closest available time that works for you and use the space on the booking form to indicate what time you originally wanted.
If you need to cancel a scheduled ride, you may do so using the link in the confirmation email you received for each ride. If you need to change the pickup or drop-off location, you may cancel and re-schedule the ride with the updated information. For rides less than one hour away, please call or text (413) 560-0780 to make changes.
Due to limited seating capacity, only passengers approved for the service and their College-appointed personal care attendants, interpreters, or service animals will be permitted to use the service. All other animals, including ESAs are not permitted in College operated or contracted vehicles.

Weekend hours:
As a pilot program, we are doing our best to provide as much service as realistically possible. We are working towards providing service on the weekends. In the meantime, please use to let us know if you need Lyons Lift over the weekend, so we can work towards making it possible.
