UC Chile From Climate Risk to Sustainability Program
The听Pontificia Universidad Cat贸lica de Chile听听focuses on the urgent environmental challenges facing the planet, including species loss, ecosystem degradation and the increasing impact of extreme weather events linked to climate change. It highlights the important role of science in supporting evidence-based decision-making and informing effective climate adaptation and mitigation policies.听
Students will develop the skills to critically analyse global socio-environmental issues using scientific data and systemic thinking. Through this approach, they will examine climate risks, identify key contributing factors and consider the different roles needed to respond to the broader socio-environmental crisis.

Credit equivalent
3 ECTS credits听= 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 2 UQ Units upon successful completion of the UC Chile From Climate Risk to Sustainability Program听(pending UQ faculty approval).

Eligibility and application
All applicants must meet the standard Global Experiences听Student Eligibility Criteria听and any additional eligibility criteria set by听
If you are intending to undertake your experience for-credit, it is strongly recommended that you submit your application to the Global Experiences team at least 4 weeks before applying to the host to allow sufficient time for Faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note that it is your responsibility to meet the host application deadline.
Costs
The participation mode of this experience is听Study Abroad, meaning you will pay tuition fees directly to the host.
The program fee is approximately $2,100 AUD.听

Funding
Global Experiences Grants
When you submit your application for an听experience, you are automatically considered for funding that is relevant to your nominated experience. Please refer to the鈥�Short-Term Experiences Funding鈥痯age for details.听
OS-HELP Loan
You may also be eligible to submit an application for an听听if your program is for-credit and you are enrolled as a Commonwealth-supported student.

- any earlier than 6 months听before the official start date of your overseas study
- any later than听3 months听before the official end date of your overseas study.
