UC Chile Apacheta Program
The听Pontificia Universidad Cat贸lica de Chile听 is a four-week Spanish language and cultural immersion program听that combines formal Spanish study with seminars on business in Latin America and its cultural context. Students develop their Spanish fluency while learning about local history, culture, customs and communication styles.听
The program aims to build students鈥� confidence in using Spanish and deepen their understanding of cultural diversity across Latin America. Through respectful collaboration and engagement with different perspectives, students gain practical intercultural skills relevant to the Latin American market.

Credit equivalent
6 ECTS credits听= 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 2 UQ Units upon successful completion of the UC Chile Apacheta Program听(pending UQ faculty approval).

Eligibility and application
All applicants must meet the standard Global Experiences听Student Eligibility Criteria听and any additional eligibility criteria set by听
If you are intending to undertake your experience for-credit, it is strongly recommended that you submit your application to the Global Experiences team at least 4 weeks before applying to the host to allow sufficient time for Faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note that it is your responsibility to meet the host application deadline.
Costs
The participation mode of this experience is听Study Abroad, meaning you will pay tuition fees directly to the host.
The program fee is approximately $2,250 AUD.听

Funding
Global Experiences Grants
When you submit your application for an听experience, you are automatically considered for funding that is relevant to your nominated experience. Please refer to the鈥�Short-Term Experiences Funding鈥痯age for details.听
OS-HELP Loan
You may also be eligible to submit an application for an听听if your program is for-credit and you are enrolled as a Commonwealth-supported student.

Application Deadlines
OS-HELP loan applications can鈥檛 be accepted:
- any earlier than 6 months听before the official start date of your overseas study
- any later than听3 months听before the official end date of your overseas study.
