Once you have been accepted to participate in a short-term experience, it鈥檚 time to prepare for your experience to start!

For students participating in-person please read every step carefully.

For students participating virtually some of the steps below will not apply.

Work your way through the听Global Experiences Team Pre-departure Essentials Checklist听to help you prepare.

Below you'll also find听some tips to help you make the most of your experience while ensuring you keep safe and healthy while overseas.

Important Travel Advice

Students planning international travel should regularly monitor DFAT听听and the听听飞别产蝉颈迟别.

UQ strongly recommends that students do not travel to, or transit through, locations rated 鈥淒o not travel鈥 or 鈥淩econsider your need to travel鈥,听due to security risks,听disruption听and insurance limitations.听

Where a destination听remains听approved, but a student chooses to transit via such locations against advice, UQ support and insurance apply only to the approved experience and destination, not to the student鈥檚 travel routing.听

Students听are responsible for听reviewing flight routes and keeping their travel details up to date.听
