Huilin - 2019

Taking a short term course is an opportunity to stay in a foreign country. It is totally different from just traveling overseas. I can deeply experience the Japanese culture, being听 part of them in their daily life, and also learn lots of new things.听Personally, I am looking forward to getting a job which allows me to stay long periods of time in different countries in the future. I will study hard and try to achieve my dream.

My favourite memory is the first field trip in Asakusa temple. We met many friends from all over the world, and also had opportunities to chat with Japanese students to learn more about local culture. We finished the mission together and took many pictures, which make us closer. I like field trip because it makes me experience the real Japan rather than just sitting in the classroom.

A tip for people who are intersted is to learn听the听local language as it can make your trip more comfortable.

Xinru

I would say friendship was the best thing I gained from this experience. We stayed in the same accommodation, went to uni together and had each meal together, which really provided us with a good chance to get close to each other.听I took Japanese popular culture and anime course there. It was exciting for me to have a field trip to better experience Japanese culture, which could be something that we cannot experience in Australia. While finishing the cultural-related presentation in around 2-days was a challenge for me, but thanks to the field trip, I found out more for my presentation skills.
