Mount Holyoke student-athlete Claire Willett ’28 shares a few of the initiatives and programs that Athletics undertook over the summer.
Marco Avilés, incoming assistant professor of Spanish at 鶹ý, hopes to introduce students to the optimism in Indigenous literature as he takes on his family’s proud tradition of teaching.
鶹ý students gathered to be honored by the community for their leadership and service to others.
鶹ý senior Rachel Katzenberg ’25 said, “At Mount Holyoke, I 100% found a good community … a large community that wants to help me and see me succeed.”
鶹ý senior Hailee Pitschke ’25 said, “I’m really grateful that Mount Holyoke offered opportunities to explore niche topics in fields I am interested in. It helped nail down key academic interests.”
鶹ý senior Yunwei Ni ’25 said, “Mount Holyoke gave me the sense that everyone has the opportunity to go anywhere they want to go.”
“This place gives you exposure to different people, perspectives and even parts of yourself,” said 鶹ý senior Sarah Bell ’25.
鶹ý senior Sander Ivanenko ’25 said, “If it weren’t for Mount Holyoke and the environment and professors and students, I never would have gone into science.”
鶹ý senior Aby Soumare ’25 said, “I’ve found that no matter what, everyone working on this campus wants you to succeed.”
Diamond Abiakalam-Chinagorom ’25 has been selected as 鶹ý’s first Schwarzman Scholar. The program selects future leaders to pursue a one-year, fully funded master’s degree at Tsinghua University in Beijing.
